Padnall Hall retrofit

Padnall Hall has officially reopened following the successful refurbishment of the long-vacant building, creating a new youth hub for the Marks Gate community in Barking and Dagenham.

Simple Works provided structural and civil engineering services for the project, working alongside RCKa and Etec Group to deliver a flexible new community space while retaining as much of the existing building as possible.

Our work included structural alterations to support the new layout, a new entrance canopy, assessments of the existing timber roof for the proposed upgrades, and civil engineering input for the site's drainage and external works.

The completed project demonstrates how thoughtful structural engineering can breathe new life into existing community buildings, helping them continue to serve local people for years to come.
