Empowering youth through design and build
We’re proud to have been part of The People’s Pavilion at Lea Bridge Library, Waltham Forest. Designed by 18-year-olds Bruno De Marco, Tomi Balogun, and Zhané Philips, the timber pavilion provides an open space for reflection and was voted the public favourite with over 2,500 votes
Scale Rule, co-founded by Sinead and Phil, guided the young designers through collaborative design and fabrication, while Simple Works provided structural engineering to bring the ambitious timber framework to life. The project showcases how industry expertise can empower youth to create meaningful cultural spaces.
