Recognition for collaborative work creating vibrant public and child-friendly spaces.
We are delighted to share that two projects Simple Works supported have been shortlisted for the Pineapple Awards 2026, recognising excellence in placemaking!
Queens Market and Square has been shortlisted for the Pineapple Award for Public Space. The project reimagines the setting of the historic market, creating a welcoming and flexible civic space that supports local traders while providing a vibrant destination for the wider community.
Our work at Leathermarket Gardens and Tyers Estate has been shortlisted for the Pineapple Award for Child-Friendly Spaces. The project focuses on improving play, accessibility and everyday use of the landscape, helping to create safe, inclusive spaces for children and families.
These nominations recognise the collaborative effort behind both projects. We would like to congratulate and thank our partners:
Queens Market and Square: JA Projects, Nulty, BWA, EDP and Andreas Lechthaler Architects.
Leathermarket Gardens and Tyers Estate: NOOMA Studio, Churchman Thornhill Finch, Velocity and Open Access.
We are proud to see these projects recognised and look forward to the next stage of the awards process.
