Bradford Beacon Shortlist

We’re excited to share that Simple Works has been part of a talented team shortlisted in the RIBA-organised competition to design the Beacon performance venue for the Bradford UK City of Culture 2025.

The international design contest invited architect-led teams to propose concepts for an iconic, mobile performance space that will host arts, performances and community events across the district during the year-long cultural programme.

Working with IF_DO and Street Space Community CIC, our team was selected as one of five finalists from the wide field of international entries. This shortlist reflects the diversity of design thinking and commitment to sustainability, inclusivity and cultural engagement that the competition championed.

We’re proud that our involvement contributes to the development of inclusive, sustainable cultural spaces and look forward to seeing how Bradford comes alive for City of Culture 2025.
