Triangle House

Triangle House is a vibrant extension to a 1950s home in Epsom, designed by Artefact Studio. The new wing features triangular blue blocks, terracotta tiles, and a warm yellow ceiling, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The design features a series of interconnected living spaces that flow from the street to the garden, culminating in a terrace affectionately dubbed 'Club Tropicana'. A lean material strategy, including exposed blockwork and timber beams, was employed to reduce costs and carbon footprint without compromising character. Simple Works provided structural engineering for this project, which was highly commended in the AJ Small Projects Awards 2024 and won the RIBA South East Award 2025, RIBA South East Small Project of the Year 2025, and RIBA National Award 2025.
