Located on Northumberland Avenue, within the Trafalgar Square Conservation Area in the City of Westminster, Northumberland House is a grade II listed building providing student accommodation. On behalf of the Wellcome Trust, this project upgrades the current offering for students and converts some of the bedrooms into studios with kitchenettes and bathrooms.
Proposals focus on modernising building services to improve efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance, while preserving heritage significance. A comprehensive visual inspection was carried out to provide the client with a full Defects Summary of the existing structure, complemented by a bespoke set of remedial details coordinated with fire and architectural requirements.
